In 2021, one of our incredible entries took out the winning place for "Granny Flat of the Year."

This makes 3 years in a row that Coastline Granny Flats have won this award and boy are we proud.

This stunning custom design really makes you feel like you're standing in a home (not a flat) with its seamless floor plan and gorgeous outside undercover entertaining area.

The colour pallet and stylish features throughout really gives it that extra WOW factor.

In 2020, our stunning Medinah Design in Smiths Lake took out the winning award of "Granny Flat of the Year" once again through the Master Builders Association. An unbelievable project from start to finish. It was our ultimate goal to get this project complete in 24 days. Much to our excitement, we exceeded this timeframe without sacrificing on quality - This award proves just that.

It’s been a stellar journey for Rowan, who began his apprenticeship with the Master Builders Association in 2002. After working as a sub-contractor, he took the plunge and founded Coastline Builders and Designers in 2013, specialising in extensions, renovations and custom homes.

Rowan has worked extremely hard to create a culture at Coastline that he is incredibly proud of. He takes pride in everything he does and loves nothing more than seeing his team excel. Due to many experiences within the building industry, it has shaped him into the leader he is today with extensive knowledge in all areas of the building industry.

Rowan believes all the hard work that he put into the business in its early stages has earnt him the rewards of having a strong team behind him who listen and deliver outstanding work both on the site and in the office. “It’s a well-oiled machine and I have my team to thank for growing with myself and the business, I’m proud of myself and each and every one of my internal team members”.

Our apprentice, Denny Cox, took out the 2019 Master Builders Association Award for Apprentice of the Year. Throughout his role with Coastline, Denny has displayed outstanding work ethic, dedication and passion for the building industry.

Denny is the ultimate carpenter, he has completed charity work and given selflessly back to the community. His hunger to become a stand out builder is evident due to his constant positive attitude and willingness to continue learning and expanding his skillset.

Denny has worked extremely hard in the company to learn the process of how a project runs and the complications that can occur if the job is not done correctly.

We are so proud to have been part of Denny’s journey/development and look forward to many more years to come whilst watching him mentor our next master builder apprentice.

It's no shock that our Kingston 2 project in Boolaroo took out the winning award for "Granny Flat of The Year" in the 2019 Master Builders Association Awards.
This particular granny flat has it all, from polished concrete flooring to an outstanding open plan living/kitchen/dining that flows out to the entertaining area.
